Our chief trainer, Stefan Puschmann, selected the dressage and show jumping tournament held at the expansive grounds of the Bavarian Show Center in Kreuth as the last “test” before the Bundeschampionship (German Championship) in Warendorf.
With Quadriga’s SAN PRIMERO, a 5-year old stallion by San Amour (out of a full sister to Don Schufro) bred right here at Quadriga, Puschmann won the second level dressage test with a final grade of 8.2.
In the third level dressage test held the next day, Puschmann again took the victory round with this young stallion!

Wow, this is hot! This thought went through the head of our trainer, Maja Weber, as she entered the award ceremony for the first level dressage test in Bautzen. At 9 am, it was already 30° Celsius, and it got hotter by the minute. Maja had saddled DREAM OF JACKSON II and DE LA RONJA II, two of our youngsters, for their very first show. How sweet it was for rider and horses; they immediately took first and second place at their first outing!
Fourth place was awarded to Angelika Miethe with "Jolly Jument" by JAZZ RUBIN. What a show, three out of the first four horses in this test were offspring of our stallions!
Baschütz near Bautzen
During the Oldenburger Main Branding event, held in July at the Quadriga grounds in Radeburg, the commission awarded foal premium status and made their selections for the Oldenburger Fall Elite Auction. This year, we presented 18 of our 22 foals from 2013 (more was just not feasible for our presenters).
The evaluation commission, headed by Heiner Kanoski, CEO of the Oldenburger Horse Breeding Association (Oldenburger Pferdezuchtverband) was thrilled with the quality of our foals, and all were awarded Oldenburger Foal Premium Status. Furthermore, three foals were selected for the Oldenburger Elite Auction in Vechta!
Kudos to the entire team; in particular, to the three “handlers” who had beautifully prepared and expertly presented the dynamic mares and their foals in sweltering summer temperatures!

Second Review for the 2013 World Championship of Young Dressage Horses in Verden
After his qualification victory in Grabsleben for the Bundeschampionship in Warendorf, our stallion DON CISMO was initially scheduled to enjoy a lighter work load. However, this plan changed instantly when his rider received notification from the FN in Warendorf. Due to his fantastic qualification grade of 9.0, he had received a direct nomination for the second review for the world championship (even though he did not attend the first review).
Yesterday, the 16 “best 6-year old dressage horses of Germany“ met with their riders at the DOKR in Warendorf to compete for a total of seven start positions.
In the qualification test, DON CISMO wasn’t always able to show his enormous potential to the fullest as he appeared a bit tired from the long drive. However, his performance was still so good, that Stefan Puschmann with DON CISMO were nominated as a reserve for the 2013 World Championship for Young Dressage Horses in Verden!

We did it!
As the last foal for 2013, an ultra-modern, black filly by the Danish top sire, SEZUAN, was born! Of course, she is an Oldenburger Premium Foal by now!
Her complete pedigree: Filly by SEZUAN out of state premium mare DOLCE VITA ll by DR. JACKSON / JAZZMAN / Campari / Akzent ll.
SEZUAN was the star at his licensing in Denmark. He is the reigning winner stallion of the Danish Championship and winner of his stallion performance test with a sensational result of 9.87!
His sire is the twice Danish winner stallion Blue Horse Zack, who already has produced exceptional highlights in breeding and sport.
SEZUAN’s dam is the gold medalist mare, Bøgegårdens DON ROMINA, who was awarded Mare of the Year in Denmark.
The sire of the dam is Blue Horse DON SCHUFRO, who won with Andreas Helgstrand the team bronze medal at the Olympic Games in Hong Kong.
SEZUAN`s granddam is the Danish bronze medalist mare Bøgegårdens LAINA.
For SEZUANA’s dam, the Oldenburger State Premium mare DOLCE VITA ll by DR. JACKSON, this is her second foal.
Her granddam, our state premium/elite mare JAQUELINE and the great-granddam, our elite mare COSMOPOLITAN, come from the Waldhexe dam line, one of the most important Oldenburger lines.
COSMOPOLITAN is also the granddam of our elite and Grand Prix mare DIAMANTINA and our licensed stallion DON CISMO who recently qualified for the Bundeschampionship with a 9.0!
